This feature is available to all plan types. Your account admin will need to configure this feature for the system.
Our custom layouts per pipeline feature was designed to allow different teams in your business arrange their data on Opportunities in the way they need it to ensure they have the quickest access to relevant information for them to make business decisions.
Using this tool:
EXAMPLE: You have a Sales Team and an Onboarding team, and when Sales finishes an Opportunity, they move it over to Onboarding's Pipeline in ProsperWorks. For the Sales team, they fill out Opportunity fields for things like what Tools the prospect used in the past, and what Pain Points they want to focus on. The Onboarding team fills out Opportunity fields for things like Number of Users, and Products Purchased.
By using Custom Layouts, the administrator can set up the system so that the Sales team doesn't see the Opportunity fields for Number of Users and Products Purchased, but when they move the Opportunity into the Onboarding Pipeline, those fields are visible, and the Tools and Pain Points fields become hidden. This helps the teams focus on the relevant information to their work!
With Custom Layouts, Administrators can create a separate page layout for Opportunities for each pipeline. Each layout can independently specify in what order data fields are displayed and which fields are hidden (invisible) based on the Pipeline designation.
You can still update the information. It's not lost, just hidden from your default view.
When end users create or update Opportunities then the layout of the Opportunity changes based on the specific pipeline the Opportunity is in, and the settings the Admin configured for the pipeline
When end users change the pipeline designation of an Opportunity, the layout of the Opportunity is updated immediately to reflect the new pipeline’s layout.
This is not designed to be a data security tool. All teams will still have access to any information you have not put special permissions on.
Your account admin will need to configure this feature for the system.
To edit your pipeline layouts, visit Settings > Detail Field Order > Opportunities section.
On this page the account admin can select from a dropdown list the Pipeline whose layout they want to customize.
The experience to customize layouts on this page is identical to that of other pages:
- Drag and drop fields to move them to the desired position
- Drag or click fields to the right hand side “Inactive Fields” section to make them inactive (invisible)
Customization is auto-saved immediately and end users will see the updated layout on their next interaction with an Opportunity.
Things to consider
Custom filtered lists
Custom filtered lists do not respect the different Opportunity layouts. The list of fields available for filtering and the order in which they are presented in custom filtered lists is not impacted by the pipeline’s layout.
Data exports do not respect the different Opportunity layouts. Data export files will always have the default field order and will include fields that are otherwise invisible on the layout.
The dev API does not respect the different Opportunity layouts. Dev API data will always have the default field order and will include fields that are otherwise invisible on the layout.
