How to look up dropdowns or sources in Zapier

At this time, it is not possible to pass in dropdowns or sources into Zapier without work arounds. This article will go over two potential solutions.

Solution 1

When using Zapier, you cannot pass Dropdown values into ProsperWorks by their string value. You can only use ID. Here is a work around that uses Google sheets (zoom in the page to see the images better).

For the Google spreadsheet part, please make a spreadsheet with two sheets. The first sheet will be what is passed into Zapier. The second sheet will hold your custom field IDs.

Sheet 1: Make headers that reflect the data that you pass into your form. Then in a column, pass in the formula to match the string of your drop down options with the ID in sheet 2.

Formula:

=ArrayFormula(IFERROR({VLOOKUP(F2:F,Sheet2!A:B,2,FALSE)},))

Sheet 2:

To get your custom field IDs, go to the custom field drop down in Zapier and copy the IDs into the second sheet, Sheet2

Sheet 2:

When entering in the value for the custom field dropdown, choose "Use a Custom Value." Then in "Custom Value for Custom Fields Industry," find and select the custom field ID:

Solution 2

Another thing you can do is use Formatter with Zapier. Here is an example using Sources (zoom in the page to see the images better):

To get your Source ID, just go to action 3. Create Lead and click sources and it will dropdown with all the IDs:
